Doctors & Staff

Dr. Rickman is a 1984 graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry. Locally, he attended St. Mary's Grade School and Regis High School. He has practiced in the Stayton/Salem area since graduation and opened his office in Sublimity in 1995. He provides eyecare for the entire family, emphasizing contact lenses and pre and post care for LASIK and Cataract Surgery. Growing up in the area, he worked on farms, the cannery, farmers co-op, sawmill and was a volunteer firefighter. He also has played several sports, so he has first hand experience in the visual demands of several occupations and activities. He is a member of the American Optometric Association ,Oregon Optometric Physicians Association and Willamette Optometric Physicians Association, Stayton Rotary and Santiam Golf Mens Club.

Jessica was an Optometric Assistant and team leader of the rest of the staff, and Doctor Rickman's niece. We lost her in an accident on the North Santiam River on September 2, 2007. Visit her Facebook Memorial Page at "RIP Silver".

Jan is our new front office manager. She brings over 20 years experience working in professional offices.

Tera is an optometric assistant starting her second year. She also trains other assistants and orders the glasses and contacts.

Amy is an optometric assistant with 10 years of part time experience.

Lauren is a college student working during vacations helping with filing and keeping us organized.

Shelly is an optometric assistant with several years experience.

Vanessa is an optometric assistant in her first year, after receiving medical office training.

Renee is an optometric assistant in training.

Ashley is an optometric assistant in training.
